Many people prefer to "not" believe in a heaven or a hell. But what you believe and what is real are not necessarily the same thing. Take the following example. Whether or not I "believe" in hurricanes, If I am in the path of a hurricane I will suffer the same damage as anyone else. My belief is not a prerequisite for the reality of the situation. Lots of folks live their lives in denial of reality. Wives live for years in abusive adulterous relationships through denial, Fathers and Mothers have children that grow up to be terrors to society because they could not believe their little Johnny was really "bad" , they just though he would out grow his problems. Ignorance only has the appearance of being bliss. The purpose of this web site is to tell you the Truth, the whole truth and nothing by the truth according to God's Word.
HELL
Hell is a real place.Hell was not designed for humans but none the less hell will be full of humans that rejected their only salvation, Jesus. Hell was designed for Satan and his angels. When Adam fell, Satan became his lord. Anyone today or throughout history that is not serving the Living God through Jesus Christ, IS serving satan, by default possibly or by choice but they are serving him none the less and will end up spending eternity with him, in Hell.
Human spirits are immortal.The fact that all human beings are made in the image and likeness of God. and are by nature three parts, body soul and spirit,shows this very clearly. The spirit of mankind is "God Breathed". God is immortal, so we too are immortal. Humans are without choice immortal.
The only choice humans have is WHERE they will spend that eternity.
The Bible describes hell in real physical terms. There are hundreds of Christian sites that will paint a very vivid picture of Hell for you. So instead of re inventing the wheel, I will ask you to search on any search engine the word hell, and fasten your seatbelt, because you are going to see things that raise the hair on the back of your neck.
I am not going to do that. I am going to share with you That Hell is real, and that You can AVOID Hell. Jesus warns us that it is better to lose a hand or foot or even an eye, then to go to hell. In fact Hell is mentioned in the New Testament 153 times, 70 of those times by Jesus himself, so I expect since Hell is a subject spoken of by Jesus more than any other subject, Hell must be important for us to know about.
Now there is a lot of theological discussion about hell. It seems that the Ancient conversational Greek of the New Testament has two or three different terms that the translators used the blanket term hell for in translation. But I am convinced that this argument is a smoke screen thrown up by satan to cast doubt on Gods Word and muddy the waters about hell. This topic is too important to allow confusion to stop you from understanding. SO I have chosen not to go into the OLD Tired argument of terms, suffice to say a rose by any other name is a Rose and Hell regardless of the terminology is Hell Believe me, regardless of what the salespeople tell you the Lake of Fire is not a good vacation spot nor a good residence for eternity.
Re:20:11: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from
whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Re:20:12: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged
out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Re:20:13: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up
the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Re:20:14: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Re:20:15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake
of fire.
Lets really talk about Hell, or eternal punishment, which is what hell is supposed to be. Looking at hell as punishment, And Heaven as the reward, you could re-assign definitions to both as being
Hell=Separation from GOD
Heaven=being joined with GOD
Now these definitions are applicable Past present and future.
Life here and now, lived separate from God is Hellish. Life in the future, including eternity, being separated from God will be hellish.
Before you are born again in Jesus, you are separated from God. This happened without your permission in the Garden of Eden when Eve and Adam choose to doubt God and believe Satan.Your being placed into hell for eternity will also happen with out your permission. Your evil deeds will not send you to hell, any more than a Christians good deeds get them in to hell! Heaven will be full of sinners that repented and accepted Jesus as savior and Lord that lived totally rotten lives before that point. Hell will be populated with tons of nice people, really Sincere People. But they will all be people that refused Jesus' offer of full pardon for all sin. That will be the one thing they all have in common. They will have all been offered a chance to accept Jesus and they will have ALL rejected that offer
Friend, I am asking you to please research your only options. If you can't bring yourself to accept Jesus as Gods offer of eternal life out of love to God for offering it, then accept it because you do not want to go to hell.
HEAVEN
Hey I saved the best for last! Heaven oh heaven! What a wonderful place Heaven is! No tears, no pain, no struggles, just blessed peace and joy in the very presence of God and His Angels! God has blessed many people with visions of heaven and they have in turn written about these experiences and shared them with us.
I am listing three of the books that I have found that describe Heaven from a eyewitness view point. They are:
A Divine Revelation of Heaven by Mary K. Baxter
Caught up into Heaven by Marietta Davis
Inter-Muros - My Dream of Heaven by Rebecca Ruter-Springer
I was able to order them off the web, but the last book, by Rebecca Ruter-Springer was found at a rare and out of print book site. It was the hardest to locate, but it was also by far the most efficient at answering question about life in heaven that I have yet found, and by the way was the least expensive! (Under $5.00).
The most important fact about Heaven and Hell is: You do not go to hell because you are bad, and you do not go to heaven because you are good. Our Eternity rests in what JESUS CHRIST DID. PERIOD. We either accept that in faith, or we reject it is faith. There are no gray areas here, no slipping in a back door, no last minute reprieves! You either accept Jesus or you don't you have until you last breath to do that, but know this:
NO choice IS A CHOICE.
